We’ve not had that situation, thank goodness.
The one we experienced and survived, husband was happy, daughter was happy but it was ME who was miserable.
I managed to hide my despair and was doing really well for a while, but then started to crack ……… long story short, thru a series of coincidences (which I don’t believe in, but can’t think of another word), an opportunity for his contract to be cut short, without any repercussion, came our way and we took it.
it’s not always easy, and sometimes difficult decisions have to be made.
I have no idea how we’d deal with it if our daughter was unhappy ……. guess like many others, boarding school, or school ‘back home’ (where I might add she’s not lived for the vast majority of her life) is always an option.

I was going to leave a voice message but now that you are about to record the next episode and it’s not quiet here so I will have to type.
Thank you for the topic but mostly thank you for the podcast recommendations! I binged on the The Full Catastrophe and am pleased to find the Andrew Denton podcast because I listened to just a couple through the Wheeler Centre but now can get it on my app! Yay!

Kirsty says that someone will listen to this 2 years later – and that’s me today. 2 years and 6 days later. Still relevant and interesting podcast though!
