Hello and welcome to another episode of Two Fat Expats where we believe you should live your expat life to the absolute fullest, a fat expat life.
Today we talk to three amazing women about their journey through the adoption process as expats. Three very different stories that we felt needed to be told. This episode is not about how to adopt, we are not an authority on the matter but as with most expat stories, things are always a little different when you’re living overseas and this is what we want to share with you. You’ll hear about an American family who adopted a baby in Russia and ended up moving to Russia as expats. The Australian family who adopted their little girl in Singapore and finally the Welsh family who were never able to fulfil their dreams to adopt due to the sometimes haphazard ways of expat life.

LOL, Sarah, I love it! Yeah, House Hunters International is addictive. Now, don’t laugh, but if you go on U.S. Netflix and look on their list of HHI episodes, I’m on there! A Jamaican-American moves to Cork, Ireland 🙂 I think the episode is called, “Put A Cork In It”.

Hi Felicity,
I loved the interviews in this episode as well. Sarah and I are both of the belief that our show should be all about showcasing expat women’s stories with a chance to have a bit of giggle with us at the beginning and the end, but the real focus should be the women who tell their stories on the day. I felt really proud of this episode as I think we got the right mix, there was nearly 30 minutes of interview and 8 to 10 minutes of us either side. The women who told their stories told them so so so beautifully, we were sobbing as well. Kirsty xx
