Hi Guys,
Love the blog and podcast, and branding! Well done.
Me and my wife Kelli are heading to Doha to do a 1 month house sit in under 2 weeks. Looking forward to seeing this fascinating place.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello lovely ladies,
I’m finally back listening to the podcast after Christmas/New Year vacation then Chinese New Year vacation!!
Love the podcast, been listening since episode 1 but I have also been following Kirsty since almost the beginning of her blog (we have a very similar expat trajectory)
Since Nikki came on board I feel like she’s talking about me all the time: we move to a new country around the same time and are going through the same struggle ;-).
Singapore is my 7th country in 18 years (or 8th in 25 depending on how you count 😉 ) and I find it extremely hard to adjust. It’s an easy day to day life but I have a harder time connecting with people. Lots of people are here long term I think. Or at least that’s the one I seem to meet.
I went to the Two Fat Expat meet up and I have to say that was probably around the lowest point in my time in Singapore. I got a chance to say hi to Kirsty (after I send her a message on facebook she had my name as somebody to talk to ;-)) which was great. I was at one of the “Came by herself” table but unfortunately I wasn’t at the table with the newbie in town… all 3 ladies were lovely but were old timer in Singapore (they just a happen to have come to the get together by themselves). I left and decided to go on a month long of no coffee meet up (that’s the one that broke the camel back!). Like Nikki I have a couple numbers/names I can call in case of an emergency but I’m still looking for my tribe. It will come i’m sure.
All the best on the new project for this year.

Celine, thank you for your lovely comment! I am so glad that you wrote it. I am here for you, it can be hard with new friends. I find the older I get, the older my kids get and the less I go out into the world, the tougher it can seem. So glad you got to meet Kirsty in Singapore. That’s also really great feedback on the table information – next Fat Expat meet up we will have to consider the logistics of how that works. Hope you are on your way to more new friends soon. Nikki x
