Hello Ladies,
Was very sorry to hear these sad stories. Mine is equally sad and very absurd, and am still picking up myself, with a great difficulty.
Still don’t know under which law to divorce, am living in an environment with no friends around and facing serious post traumatic narcissistic abuse challenges.
My advice is definitely – never to abandon one’s own job (I I was very successful & very well earning in my hence days) or if necessary – to ask the partner for a secured monthly support (opening a separate bank account etc.) I am in the mid 50-ties and due to our expat live have also no pension at all. The majority of my savings went for the interior design, home stuff and for our travels…..
I would also never trust a man 100% – as I did. Unfortunately,
Before any move – concerning your job / quitting your job – for an expat life in order to enhance a husband’s carrier – thinking enhancing your life together – just secure some issues in a straight though tough manner.
If bu chance anybody knows a good lawyer in NY city or state and or Germany, best knowing also issues concerned with narcissistic abuse – pls let me know. Would appreciate immensely.
With best wishes,
Agatha
